New Technology at the Reserve

With the pandemic, the Gault Nature Reserve has had to adapt the services it offers to the community. One such example is the online reservation system for day pass sales, introduced in early August. The system issues a set number of tickets for each date to limit the number of daily visits and comply with public health guidelines.

This new method of managing attendance numbers has also significantly reduced the amount of time motorists have to wait to access the reserve and decreased traffic near the main entrance.

However, we still have limited parking space at the main entrance. We are examining our options for gradually increase the number of visitors we can admit, but no one solution has been chosen at this time.

As a result, while annual cardholders do not need to reserve a time slot to visit the Reserve, they may be denied access by car when the parking lot is full.

We are also gradually moving sales of other services online:

Annual cards – renewal

Since the beginning of the summer, annual cardholders have been able to renew their cards online. One month before their membership expires, cardholders will receive a renewal notice by email with renewal instructions. Unfortunately, we are finding that many email addresses are invalid and bounce back. If your card is expiring soon and you have not received a renewal notice, please contact us by courriel to verify your information in our system.

Annual cards – purchase

Annual cards will be available for purchase online in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by technical difficulties.
